
Bhubaneswar, 13 August (H.S.): Mission Shakti Self Help Groups (SHGs) across Odisha have successfully prepared 60 lakh National Flags for the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign, achieving the entire target within the stipulated deadline.
The initiative involved 1,235 SHGs, 201 Producer Groups and 138 Federations, with 16,162 SHG members from all 30 districts of the State participating in the large-scale flag-making drive.
The initiative has provided Mission Shakti women with an opportunity to contribute to the national campaign while strengthening their collective enterprises, production capabilities and livelihood opportunities.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said the preparation of 60 lakh National Flags by Mission Shakti women was a matter of immense pride for Odisha. She said the achievement reflected their patriotism, dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrating the potential of women-led collective platforms to undertake large-scale initiatives.
She further said that Har Ghar Tiranga was not merely a celebration of the National Flag but also an expression of people's participation in nation-building. Through Mission Shakti, women are becoming active contributors to Odisha's development while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for themselves and their communities.
The 100 per cent completion of the 60-lakh flag target highlights the commitment and collective strength of Mission Shakti women and marks a significant contribution to the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign and the broader goal of women-led development in Odisha.
