A lifelong commitment to uniting society through service,

dialogue and national integration

Lucknow, 28 July (HS): Guru Purnima is one of the most

revered festivals in Indian culture. It is not merely an occasion to pay homage

to one's Guru, but also a time to remember those distinguished personalities

who have dedicated their lives to the service of society, the nation and

humanity. Dr. Indresh Kumar, Senior Pracharak and All India Executive

Member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), represents such an inspiring

tradition. For more than five decades, he has devoted his public life to

service, dialogue, social harmony and national integration, continuously

working to build bridges of trust among different sections of society.

Dr. Indresh Kumar firmly believes that India's greatest

strength lies in its unity amidst cultural diversity. Throughout his extensive

travels across the country, he has consistently emphasized that sustained

dialogue among different communities, faiths and social groups is essential

because dialogue is the foundation of mutual trust. His widely recognised

message—We Are One and One Ancestry, One Soil—has

become a significant guiding principle in the discourse on social harmony.

According to him, while modes of worship may differ, our motherland, history,

cultural heritage and ancestors are shared. It is this common legacy that forms

the true identity of India and the strongest pillar of national unity.

In particular, while engaging with the Muslim community, Dr.

Indresh Kumar has repeatedly stressed the need to rise above divisive thinking

and strengthen a shared national consciousness. Through initiatives such as the

Muslim Rashtriya Manch and several other social platforms, he has promoted

dialogue, mutual trust and cooperation across the country. His interactions

with representatives of mosques, madrasas, gurudwaras, temples and various

social institutions have always been guided by a single objective—to build a

strong, harmonious and self-confident India.

Service has been another defining aspect of his public life.

During natural disasters, including earthquakes, floods and the COVID-19

pandemic, thousands of volunteers, under his guidance, actively participated in

relief and rehabilitation efforts. His work has also been widely appreciated in

the fields of education, healthcare, rural development, self-reliance and

social awareness. He firmly believes that service to humanity is the highest

form of service to the nation.

Dr. Indresh Kumar's message to the youth has always been

clear and inspiring. He encourages young people to place the nation first,

build strong character, shoulder social responsibility and strive for

self-reliance. He believes that a generation rooted in positive values, ethical

conduct and national commitment will naturally lead India towards a stronger

and more prosperous future.

Reflecting on the occasion of Guru Purnima, Anil Kumar Garg,

TV Panellist, Social Activist and Political Analyst, observed that today's

society needs dialogue, trust and social harmony more than ever before. According

to him, Dr. Indresh Kumar has demonstrated through his life and work that

bringing people together is the most effective and enduring path to

nation-building.

Echoing similar sentiments, Mohammad Afzal, National

Convener of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, said that Dr. Indresh Kumar's message

of One Ancestry, One Soil is not merely a slogan but a profound

expression of India's shared civilisational heritage, national unity and social

cohesion. He added that the dialogue initiatives undertaken through the Muslim

Rashtriya Manch have significantly strengthened mutual trust, fraternity and

national consciousness.

Similarly, Asra Akhtar, Central Office In-charge of the

Muslim Rashtriya Manch, stated that the true spirit of Guru Purnima lies in

fostering unity, encouraging dialogue and inspiring positive social

transformation. According to her, Dr. Indresh Kumar's life exemplifies how

service, compassion and continuous engagement can bring about lasting and

meaningful change in society.

Sharing a similar perspective, Dr. Mohammad Azhar Ansari,

Senior Journalist, remarked that Guru Purnima is not merely a celebration of

the Guru-disciple tradition but also an occasion to recognise those whose lives

inspire society through service and selfless commitment. He stated that Dr.

Indresh Kumar's emphasis on dialogue, social harmony and inclusive

nation-building offers a meaningful roadmap for strengthening India's

pluralistic ethos and fostering lasting national unity.

On the sacred occasion of Guru Purnima, the life and vision

of Dr. Indresh Kumar inspire every citizen to reaffirm the values of social

harmony, national unity and mutual trust. A society bound together by dialogue,

service and goodwill alone can realise the dream of a strong, prosperous,

self-reliant and inclusive India. This, indeed, is the enduring message of Guru

Purnima and the guiding philosophy embodied in the life of Dr. Indresh Kumar.
