Prayagraj, 28 July (HS): A special thanksgiving worship

service was held at All Saints’ Cathedral, Prayagraj, on Tuesday to offer

gratitude to the Almighty for the successful completion of long-pending

renovation and restoration work at the church. The service was led by

Presbyter-in-Charge Rev. Dr. Vinita Eusebius and witnessed the presence of the

congregation, pastorate committee, and several distinguished guests, including

the Most Rev. Dr. Paritosh Canning, Moderator, CNI; Rt. Rev. Morris Edgar Dan;

Rev. Roshan Lal; Rev. Praveen Massey; Rev. Alan Dan; Arun Moses; Vishal Nobel

Singh; Tanu John; Vyas Arun Paul; along with principals of schools and colleges

and other invited guests.

The thanksgiving service was organized to express gratitude

to God for the successful completion of a comprehensive renovation programme

carried out over several months through careful planning, dedicated effort,

fund-raising, and proper execution. The restored cathedral now offers improved

safety, comfort, and convenience to the church community.

The renovation work included roof repair, installation of

grills and meshes on windows and skylights, flooring repair and carpeting, new

pew benches, a new generator, a new P.A. system, a computerized audio-visual

screen, chandelier lighting along the aisle, a drinking water filter, and

renovated convenience rooms.

Delivering the keynote message on the theme “We Thank Thee O

Lord,” the Most Rev. Dr. Paritosh Canning appreciated the efforts of Rt. Rev.

Morris Edgar Dan and the Presbyter-in-Charge for spearheading the project. He

urged the congregation to continue strengthening the church so that it may

remain safe, strong, and sanctified for generations to come. The service

featured thanksgiving prayers, adoration, the Apostles’ Creed, confession of

sins, absolution, prayer of blessing and dedication, intercession, scripture

readings, special numbers, sermon, offering, closing prayer, and benediction.

The service concluded with thanksgiving, the Lord’s Prayer, and the recessional

hymn. The special occasion was marked by a spirit of faith, gratitude, and

renewal, as the congregation rededicated the renovated cathedral to the service

of the Lord, informed media in-charge: Sunil Kumar Verma.
