Ayodhya, 27 July (HS): Following the alleged gift theft at

Ayodhya's Ram Temple, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has

recommended additional transparency measures aimed at restoring devotees' faith

in the temple's donation system. The Trust has started delivering 'immediate

digital receipts' to devotees who donate through its website. The receipt is

created and available for rapid download, ensuring that every online gift has a

verifiable digital record in the donor's hands. If a devotee requests a receipt

for offline donations made through one of the 30 donation boxes, the trust will

provide one. Officials say this is not essential because a devotee may not want

a receipt for modest sums.

The action comes as the Trust is under increasing

investigation following the suspected theft of funds from the temple compound.

The Ram Temple Trust has modified the contribution area of its official website

to accommodate the new approach. To make an online gift, devotees must now

enter information such as their name, purpose of donation, PAN number, date of

donation, donation amount, address, state, district, country, PIN code, email

address, and cellphone number.

Once the payment is finished, the system provides a digital

receipt that may be downloaded and saved for future reference. The Trust has

also published its official mobile number and email address on the website,

allowing devotees to simply seek support or resolve any donation-related

concerns.
