Guwahati, 26 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday paid heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War, describing Kargil Vijay Diwas as not just a symbol of military victory but a timeless saga of unparalleled courage, unwavering determination, and supreme sacrifice.

In a message, the Chief Minister said the sacrifice of the brave soldiers who gave their lives 27 years ago to safeguard the nation's sovereignty continues to inspire every Indian. He said their patriotism, dedication to duty and extraordinary valour would forever keep the flame of national pride alive in the hearts of the people.

Paying his respects, Sarma saluted the immortal heroes of the Kargil War and all the brave warriors who participated in the historic conflict, expressing the state's deep gratitude for their selfless service to the nation.-----------
