Tinsukia (Assam), 02 July (HS): Police in Assam's Dumduma launched an operation and rescue around 74 cattle being allegedly transported illegally. Two vehicles used in the transportation were also confiscated.

The seized vehicles bear registration numbers AS 23 DC 6368 and AS 01 SC 2586. Police said the cattle were being transported in these vehicles when they were intercepted during the operation.

The rescued cattle have been kept at the Dumduma Town Public Playground. Meanwhile, police have detained three persons in connection with the case and are continuing their interrogation as part of the investigation.----------
