Bhubaneswar, 02 July (H.S.): Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has declared the Odia film ‘Afa’, directed by Prithviraj Satpathy and produced by Naina Das Tiwari, tax-free in the state. The proposal in this regard was approved by the Chief Minister on Thursday.

The film is based on the theme of organ donation and is being recognised for its strong social message aimed at promoting humanity and raising awareness among the youth.

According to official information, ‘Afa’ narrates the inspiring story of a 16-year-old girl suffering from a serious illness who comes forward to donate her organs. Despite facing prolonged health challenges, the character’s courageous decision highlights themes of selflessness and social responsibility.

The government stated that the film carries significant importance in spreading awareness about organ donation and is expected to inspire people to contribute towards life-saving medical causes.
