
Lucknow, 02 July (HS): Today is the first day of the written
examination for the Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET-2026) conducted by the
Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj. The first
shift of the examination concluded peacefully. The second shift will be held in
the afternoon, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. In view of this, strict security
arrangements have been made. Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar said that
the examinations are being held at 955 examination centers in 60 districts of
the state, including Lucknow , Kanpur, and Jaunpur. A total of 19,94,661
registered candidates are participating in the examination. The examination for
upper primary level (classes 6 to 8) candidates will be held in both shifts
today and the first shift on July 3, while the examination for primary level
(classes 1 to 5) candidates will be held in the second shift on July 3 and the
first shift on July 4.
The Chairman stated that the government and the Commission
are committed to conducting this examination in a completely transparent, fair,
and honest manner. To this end, security arrangements and CCTV cameras have
been installed at all examination centers.
The Chairman appealed to all candidates to arrive at the
examination centers on time and strictly follow the instructions printed on
their admit cards. In accordance with government directives, all necessary
arrangements have been made at the centers for their benefit. He urged
candidates not to fall prey to rumors or misinformation and to verify
information on the Commission's website.
