Prayagraj, 21 June (HS): Central Air Command (CAC) observed
the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) with remarkable zeal and widespread
participation under the theme Yoga for Healthy Ageing. All Stations
and Units under the Command actively joined the celebrations, highlighting yoga
as a powerful means to promote lifelong health, vitality, mental resilience,
and holistic well-being.
More than 35,000 Air Warriors, family members, Senior
Officers, and Defence Civilians enthusiastically participated in mass yoga
events held across Central Air Command. Trained yoga instructors guided the participants
through the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) with perfect coordination and
discipline. The vibrant atmosphere reflected the deep-rooted commitment of the
Indian Air Force community to adopting yoga as a daily practice for physical
fitness and graceful ageing.
The event underscored the relevance of yoga in the
fast-paced and demanding military lifestyle. Regular practice helps build
strength, improve flexibility, reduce stress, enhance concentration, and
support overall wellness across all age groups from young Air Warriors to
senior personnel and their families. Sessions also included pranayama and
meditation, emphasising yoga's holistic benefits for emotional balance and
operational readiness.
The enthusiastic response across all locations reflected the
growing acceptance of yoga as a comprehensive approach to healthy living. It
reaffirmed Central Air Command's firm dedication to fostering a culture of
fitness, well-being, and work-life harmony among its personnel and their
families.
