Bhubaneswar, 13 June (H.S.): Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep sorrow over the death of five Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel in a tragic aircraft crash in Assam's Jorhat district.

In a social media post, Patnaik said he was deeply saddened to learn about the fatal accident involving an aircraft carrying Indian Air Force personnel. He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for strength and courage for them during this difficult time.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families during this difficult time,” Patnaik said.

The former Odisha Chief Minister also wished a speedy recovery for the co-pilot who survived the crash and is currently undergoing treatment.
