
Imphal, 13 June (HS): Manipur Director General of Police, Mukesh Singh, on Saturday visited the District Police Headquarters in Bishnupur and conducted a comprehensive review of the district's law and order, crime and operational scenario along with senior police officials.
During his interaction with district police officers, the DGP underscored the importance of intensifying counter-insurgency measures and anti-drug drives. He also directed officials to ensure the secure and long-term rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and called for the speedy investigation and disposal of cases being handled by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
As part of the visit, Singh chaired a coordination meeting with Commanding Officers of the Army and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) stationed in the district. Discussions focused on strengthening security arrangements, particularly in fringe areas, to facilitate safe agricultural activities during the ongoing farming season.
The DGP also inaugurated a Transit Guest Room at the District Police Headquarters, Bishnupur, aimed at improving accommodation facilities for visiting personnel and officials.-----------
