Bhubaneswar, 13 June (H.S.) : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has congratulated renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for winning the prestigious Russian Grand Sand Master Cup at an international sand art festival held in Russia.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations and praised Pattnaik for bringing global recognition to Odisha and India through his artistic excellence.

Majhi noted that Pattnaik has become the first Indian sand artist to receive the coveted international honour, further enhancing Odisha’s cultural identity and showcasing the state's rich artistic heritage on the global stage.

The Chief Minister also lauded Pattnaik for using his sand art as a powerful medium to raise awareness about critical global issues such as climate change and global warming. He said the artist’s efforts in spreading social and environmental messages through his creative works have earned widespread appreciation.

“Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Odisha’s sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for winning the prestigious Russian Grand Sand Master Cup at the International Sand Art Festival in Russia. As the first Indian sand artist to receive this honour, he has brought greater glory to Odia identity, Odisha’s rich culture and unique artistic heritage on the world stage,” the Chief Minister said.
