Guwahati, 22 May (HS): Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies have assured consumers that there is sufficient availability of Petrol, Diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) across Assam, stating that the overall fuel supply position in the state remains stable and adequate.

In a joint statement issued on Friday, the Oil Marketing Companies — Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited — informed that the entire fuel supply chain, including terminals, depots, retail outlets and LPG distributorships, is functioning smoothly without any disruption.

The companies stated that stock positions are being continuously monitored and replenishment operations are progressing seamlessly across all locations in the state to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability.

The Oil Marketing Companies further appealed to consumers not to indulge in panic buying and advised the public to continue with their normal purchasing behaviour. They also urged people to rely only on official communications issued by the companies for authentic and verified information regarding fuel availability.------------
