
Nashik, 09 Apr (HS): On the backdrop of sexual
exploitation by Ashok Kharat, similar complaints have been received against
officers in a multinational company in Nashik. Eight women have complained of
sexual advances, rape and pressure for religious conversion. Police have
arrested six accused in the cases. Two women accused were reported absconding.
Nashik’s Commissioner of Police has formed a Special
Investigation Team (SIT). According to police, six women including two married
ones and a male youth, have complained of molestation, sexual exploitation and
pressure for religious conversion.
Police have arrested Asif Ansari, Shafi Sheikh, Raza
Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Tausif Attar, Danish Sheikh and Nida Khan. They were
presented in the court, which remanded them to police custody.
The complainants had approached the Director of the
company. As the Director ignored their complaints they lodged complaints with
the police. In their statements to the police they narrated their sufferings.
