Baba Syed Jalaluddin majar razed

Bijnor,

April 9 (HS): In the city police station Kotwali of Bijnor district, the

administration demolished the illegal shrine built in the name of Baba Syed

Jalaluddin on the valuable government land on the Delhi Highway Barrage Road by

using a bulldozer. It is known that social worker Rampal Singh had complained

through the IGRS portal about the illegal construction of the shrine on the

highway in Khata number 651 and 668 of village Jhagdi Bangar and demanded

action, the investigation of which was handed over to the tehsil administration

by the District Magistrate. After investigation in this case, the tehsil

administration took action under the leadership of SDM Ritu Rani and Tehsildar

Ashish Saxena with a heavy police force and demolished the illegal construction.

It

is noteworthy that the said land is recorded as barren land in the revenue

records of village Jhakri Bangar in which the mausoleum was situated. The said

illegal mausoleum was also creating an obstacle in the expansion of Delhi

Meerut Pauri Highway. Earlier, the district administration had imposed a fine

on the said mausoleum for illegal construction and in 2023, the district

administration had also ordered demolition of the construction but this matter

was lying buried in the files, in which action has been taken now. SDM Sadar

Ritu Rani has warned that no illegal construction will be tolerated on

government land.
