Kolkata, 06 April (H.S.): According to the 24-hour weather forecast issued by the Alipore Meteorological Department, Kolkata and its adjoining areas are expected to witness partly cloudy skies from Monday morning to Tuesday morning.

The forecast indicates the possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning during the afternoon or evening hours. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 31°C, while the minimum temperature may remain near 23°C.

The weather office has also issued a forecast for sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. It stated that several places in Sikkim may experience light to moderate rainfall or snowfall. Meanwhile, districts such as Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Cooch Behar, and Alipurduar are likely to witness thunderstorms with rain at isolated places.

Additionally, strong winds with speeds of 30 to 40 kmph and lightning activity have been predicted in these regions.

The department further stated that no major change in weather conditions is expected over the next few days.
