Kolkata, 06 April (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday paid tribute to legendary actress Suchitra Sen on the occasion of her birth anniversary through a post on X (formerly Twitter).

In her message, Banerjee said it was her privilege to have received the affection, care, and love of Suchitra Sen during the final phase of the actress’s life. She mentioned that at a time when the iconic actress had completely withdrawn from public life, she had allowed only her to be present by her bedside regularly and had accepted her as a member of the family.

The Chief Minister described this experience as one of the greatest blessings of her life, adding that the memory would remain forever etched in her heart.

She concluded by once again offering her respectful tributes to the legendary actress.
