Mumbai, 30 Ape (HS): Ten candidates filed nominations

papers for ten seats for the Maharashtra Legislative Council polls, including a

by-poll on one seat, indicating that the elections are unopposed. Although the

results will be declared formally on May 12, the date of polling the results

are known.

Three independent candidates had filed nominations

on Thursday. However for want of signatures of supporters or proposer/ seconders,

their nomination will be rejected during the scrutiny.

The list of candidates and their parties are – BJP -

Sunil Karjatikar, Madhavi Naik, Sanjay Bhende, Vikas Kolhe, and Pramod Jadhar,

and for by-poll Pradnya Satav.

Shiv Sena – Dr Neelam Gorhe and Bacchu Kadu.

NCP (Ajit Pawar) – Zushand Siddiqi.

MVA - Ambadas

Danve.

The last date of filing nominations was till 3 pm on

April 30 and the date of polling, if required was May 12.
