
Guwahati, 30 April (HS): Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya interacted with five IAS probationers of the Assam–Meghalaya cadre who paid a courtesy visit to Lok Bhavan as part of their orientation programme here on Thursday.
While interacting with the Probationary Officers, the Governor congratulated them on joining the prestigious civil service. Highlighting the importance of citizen-centric governance, the Governor urged the young officers to ensure effective implementation of government schemes, particularly for the welfare of the most vulnerable sections of society.
The Governor stressed the need to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability in public service. Underscoring the relevance of the principle “Reform, Perform, Transform,” he encouraged the officers to bring innovation and efficiency in governance. He also highlighted the ever-evolving role of technology, including digital governance and emerging tools, in making administration more responsive, transparent, and effective.
