Jyotirmath, 25 April (HS): Tripti Dimri, a Class 12 student of PM Shri Government Model Girls Inter College, has secured the first position in Chamoli district by scoring 95.20 per cent marks in the Intermediate examination.

Tripti, a resident of Ravigram ward in the border town of Jyotirmath, had earlier scored 92.2 per cent marks in High School, bringing laurels to her school and region. She completed her education from Class 1 to 7 at Devbhoomi Public School, Ravigram. After the demise of her father Mohan Prasad Dimri, her mother Ranjana Dimri raised her. Ranjana works as a contractual gardener at NTPC to support the family.

On this achievement, school principal Urmila Bahuguna felicitated Tripti and her mother with garlands and awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,100. The school community extended congratulations to both. Several local representatives, including ward councillor Pravesh Dimri, former councillor Sameer Dimri and Van Panchayat sarpanch Harsh Bardhan Bhatt, also conveyed their best wishes.

Meanwhile, Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Jyotirmath, recorded encouraging results in both High School and Intermediate examinations. In High School, Rishabh Rana secured first position in the school with 91 per cent marks, followed by Swarn Pandey with 90.8 per cent and Akash Butola with 88 per cent.

In Intermediate, Sumit Kumar secured first position with 89.4 per cent, followed by Priyanshu Rana with 87.6 per cent and Abhinav Bhandari with 84 per cent marks.

A total of 30 students appeared in the High School examination, with 16 students passing with distinction. In Intermediate, 34 students secured first division, while 12 students passed with distinction.

School principal Shambhu Prasad Chamola, management committee president Prakash Kapruwan, manager Dinesh Badwal, patron Bhuvan Chand Uniyal, treasurer Harendra Singh Pawar, Shishu Mandir principal Badri Singh Negi and the teaching staff extended congratulations and best wishes to the students.
