
West Bengal, 25 April (H.S.): Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Agarwal visited Arambagh on Saturday to review election preparedness, triggering heightened administrative activity in the area, sources said.
According to officials, Agarwal arrived by helicopter and landed at a helipad near Pallishree before proceeding directly to a local guest house.
At the guest house, he held a key बैठक with administrative officials to assess preparations for the upcoming elections. Discussions focused on law and order, logistical arrangements and ensuring a smooth and peaceful polling process.
Sources said various aspects of election management were reviewed during the meeting, and necessary instructions were issued to officials. Special emphasis was laid on maintaining order and preventing any disruption during the polling process.
The visit led to increased alertness among local authorities, with security arrangements tightened in and around Arambagh.
