April 25 (HS): Uttar Pradesh's first successful heart transplant at the Sanjay
Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences will prove to be a milestone
in the future. This achievement is inspiring not only for the state but for the
entire country, and in the future, PGI will become a leader in the field of
medicine both nationally and internationally.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh
Pathak made this statement on Saturday at a ceremony honoring the team involved
in the operation held on the institute's campus. He stated that this was made
possible by PGI's progressive approach and the hard work of its doctors. He
expressed confidence that the institute will soon strengthen its reputation not
only nationally but also internationally in the field of medical science. He
said that patients from the state, as well as from Bihar, Nepal, and
neighboring states, rely on the services provided here, which is a testament to
PGI's quality. The government is continuously improving the system. Providing
high-quality and high-quality healthcare to every citizen of the state is a top
priority for our government.
Hospital
Beds Continuously Increasing: Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated that
the government is continuously increasing the number of hospital beds, with
particular focus on the availability of critical care and ICU beds. Praising
the performance of the emergency services and trauma center, he said that PGI
has also performed well in these areas.
No
patient should face any problem: The Deputy Chief Minister said that it is the
government's priority that no patient should face any problem due to lack of
resources. To this end, any projects submitted by the institute will be
approved on a priority basis. He informed that projects related to quality care
and artificial intelligence submitted by the institute has also been approved
and work is being done towards implementing them on the ground. He assured that
the government stands with PGI at every level and every possible resource will
be made available to make the institute number one in the country. He said that
if everyone takes a pledge together, PGI can become the supreme center of
health services not only for the state but for the entire country.

Devendra Gupta, Head of Department, CVTS Dr. S.K. Agarwal, Head of Department,
