Program to be milestone in improving

quality of education: Minister Sandeep Singh

Lucknow, April 16 (HS): The Yogi

government has launched the Nipun Shikshak Sarathi program to make

the Nipun Bharat Mission more effective at the grassroots level. This

initiative prepares teachers to become true leaders of change, ensuring

tangible improvements in classroom learning outcomes. The program is being

implemented as a pilot project in Chitrakoot, Sonbhadra, Balrampur, Gorakhpur,

and Sitapur. Chitrakoot, Sonbhadra, and Balrampur are aspirational districts,

while Gorakhpur and Sitapur are aspirational development blocks. This model has

been prioritized to strengthen educational collaboration in these areas. This

model is being implemented to strengthen educational collaboration in these

areas and prioritize underperforming schools. The two-day training of 15 selected

State-Level Reference Group (SRG) members was completed on April 15th and 16th,

and they will now provide ongoing guidance to teachers through technology.

Under this initiative, the frequency of communication between teachers and

mentors has been significantly increased. While limited contact was previously

possible, regular and planned educational interactions will now be ensured 18

to 20 times a day. This will provide teachers with need-based guidance and

enable quick resolution of classroom problems. Furthermore, through

activity-based and level-specific teaching methods, students will have the

opportunity to learn naturally, without pressure, strengthening their basic

literacy and numeracy skills.

Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh

said that through the Nipun Shikshak Sarathi program, teachers will

not only be limited to completing the curriculum, but will also play a vital

role in the overall development of students as technology-enabled mentors. He

said that the Yogi government is giving top priority to improving the quality

of education and this program will prove to be a milestone in this direction.

Under the program, special

attention is being paid to developing basic language and math skills for

students in Grade 2, laying a strong educational foundation at the elementary

level. Furthermore, the use of digital models will reduce the reliance on field

visits, thereby reducing time and cost and ensuring regular educational support

for teachers in remote areas.
