Maharashtra’s Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development
Department has announced starting 100 Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Skill Training
Centres in the state. The number of centres will be increased in phases.. The
announcement was made in Mumbai by Minister for Skill Development Mangal
Prabhat Lodha on Thursday.
The Centres will also
be opened in suburbs of Mumbai. The Municipal Corporation in Mumbai has been
directed to identify space for starting the centres. Lodha held a discussion with
Municipal Commissioner Ashvini Bhide to identify issues related to youth in
Mumbai and the trades in which they can be trained.
The skill development
will be connected to the National Education Policy for creating employment
opportunities to youth.
