Ayodhya/Lucknow,

09 March (HS): The 36th State Level Basic Children's Sports

Competition organized by the Basic Education Department, Uttar Pradesh on the

holy land of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, was inaugurated in a

grand manner by the State Minister of Basic Education (Independent Charge)

Sandeep Singh by garlanding the statue of Goddess Saraswati, lighting lamps and

flying balloons at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Complex in Dabhasemar.

On this

occasion, Minister Sandeep Singh said that sports are an important medium for

developing discipline, team spirit, self-confidence and leadership skills in

children's lives. He said that sports are not limited to physical development,

but also play an important role in building children's personality and

character. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,

the state government is giving equal importance to both education and sports for

the all-round development of children. Today, children studying in the schools

of the Basic Education Department are being provided extensive opportunities to

develop their talents in sports, cultural activities and other fields along

with their studies.

Minister

Sandeep Singh said that the children of council schools have immense talent and

such events provide them with an opportunity to showcase their abilities. He

expressed confidence that many of the players participating in this competition

today will bring glory to the state and country at the national and

international level in the future. He said that there was a time when the

condition of council schools was considered very poor, but during the tenure of

the Yogi government, the schools have undergone a comprehensive transformation.

Today, most of the schools in the state have been provided with basic

facilities and children are being provided with a better learning environment.

Minister

Singh stated that the government's priority is to ensure that every child

receives a quality education and the opportunity to excel in sports. He

explained that the state government is implementing various schemes to encourage

sports talent, and players who win medals at the national and international

levels are honored and provided with government job opportunities.

Students

from various divisions marched past and saluted the chief guest. The welcome

song and cultural programs captivated the audience. Anushree, a student from

Sultanpur, administered the oath of sportsmanship to all the players, and the

competition officially began with a torch relay.

On this

occasion, Rudauli MLA Ramchandra Yadav said that due to government schemes,

children from rural areas are also bringing glory to the state by showcasing

their talent in sports. Meanwhile, Milkipur MLA Chandrabhan Paswan said that

sports have received continuous promotion under the Yogi government, which has

increased children's interest in sports.

Competition

Results: Primary Level - In the 400-meter girls' race, Vidushi Pandey

(Ghazipur) came first, while Roshni (Kasganj) came second. In the 400-meter

boys' race, Kartik (Amroha) came first, Sanjay (Unnao) second, and Rajendra

(Ghazipur) third.

Junior

category: In the 600-meter girls' race, Atiya (Deoria) finished first, Shivangi

Yadav (Jaunpur) second, and Karishma third. In the 600-meter boys' race, Akash

(Ghazipur) finished first, Arjun (Rampur) second, and Aman (Bulandshahr) third.
