Goalpara (Assam), 28 March (HS): In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming electoral landscape, a large-scale joining programme was organized in the Goalpara West constituency on Saturday, where more than fifty workers of the Congress party formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The induction event witnessed the presence of senior BJP leaders and local party functionaries, who welcomed the new entrants into the party fold. The programme was marked by enthusiastic participation from party supporters and residents, reflecting a growing momentum for the BJP in the region.

According to party sources, the newly inducted members expressed their confidence in the leadership and policies of the BJP, stating that they were inspired by the party’s developmental agenda and governance model. They also highlighted their dissatisfaction with the Congress, citing a lack of direction and leadership at the grassroots level.

Senior BJP leaders, while addressing the gathering, asserted that the joining of a significant number of Congress workers would further strengthen the party’s organizational base in the Goalpara West constituency.
