Bhubaneswar, 21 March (H.S.): Leader of the Opposition in Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, has strongly condemned the armed attack on the residence of senior BJD leader and former minister Pratap Jena, which took place on the night of March 20, 2026.
In a social media post, Patnaik described the incident as a stark example of misgovernance and the breakdown of law and order in the state. He alleged that the violent act was orchestrated by criminal elements acting under the direction of those who allegedly undermined democracy during the Rajya Sabha elections.
Patnaik emphasized that such attacks are not isolated events but represent a broader pattern of lawlessness and administrative failure. He called for immediate and strict action against the perpetrators and urged the Chief Minister to intervene personally to restore law and order in the state.
