
Guwahati, 21 March (HS): With a focus on the Assam Assembly Elections 2026, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Assam Pradesh has intensified the activities of its media department by organizing a series of structured and strategically designed workshops across various districts. The initiative aims to strengthen organizational communication, enhance news dissemination, and ensure a unified and impactful strategy for the upcoming elections.
As part of this effort, workshops have already been successfully conducted in key districts including Dibrugarh and Silchar. In Dibrugarh, national spokesperson KK Sharma participated as a key resource person, providing detailed guidance on effective communication strategies, media management, and the importance of consistent messaging in shaping public opinion. Similarly, in Silchar, national spokesperson Tuhin Sinha engaged in extensive discussions with participants, emphasizing the need to strengthen the party’s overall outreach and communication mechanisms.
Continuing this series, a major workshop was held on Saturday at the state BJP headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, where several senior leaders were present to offer direction and insights. The session was chaired by State Media Department Convenor Rupam Goswami and attended by prominent leaders including National Vice President, MP and Assam Assembly Elections 2026 in-charge Baijayant Jay Panda, Election Management Committee Convenor and MP Pradan Baruah, Union Minister Pabitra Margherita, National Media Head and spokesperson Anil Baluni, National Media Co-Convenor and spokesperson Sanjay Mayukh, MP Bansuri Swaraj and national spokesperson KK Sharma.
The workshop featured comprehensive discussions on key aspects related to the upcoming elections, with special emphasis on constituency-focused strategies, effective use of traditional and digital media and maintaining clarity in voter communication. Strengthening grassroots-level coordination to ensure the party’s vision, policies and development agenda reach every section of society was also highlighted.
Participants underlined the importance of disciplined communication, fact-based discussions and cohesive messaging to build trust and credibility among the public. They collectively resolved to work with dedication, unity and a clear strategy to secure a decisive victory in the 2026 Assembly elections, while effectively presenting the party’s development initiatives and core values before the people of Assam.
The workshop is seen as a significant step not only in energizing party workers but also in equipping the media department with the necessary direction and skills. The Assam BJP expressed confidence that sustained efforts, disciplined execution and public support will lead to an unprecedented mandate in the forthcoming elections.----------
