
Nagpur, 20 Mar
(HS): MLC Sandip Joshi has reviewed his decision to retire from active
politics, which he had announced a few months ago. On Friday that the decision
to retire is being withdrawn following discussion with party workers and
leaders.
The term of
Joshi as MLC is ending in May this years. He had announced that he will be engaged
in social activities. Till the end of his term he will continue to perform the
duties assigned to him by the party.
On Friday he
announced withdrawal of his decision to retire from active politics. He,
however, also stated that he will be be active again after a gap of six months.
The six months’ period will be dedicated to care of health issues which he has
been suffering.
Sandip Joshi was
Nagpur’s Mayor and contested his first election from the Graduate’s
constituency and lost to Abhijit Wanjari. He was then nominated on the
Legislative Council by BJP.
