Guwahati, 20 March (HS): Assam Director General of Police Harmeet Singh on Friday chaired a high-level security coordination meeting with central forces and key agencies to ensure a zero-incident, free and fair election in the state.

The meeting was attended by Ajay Tewari, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Vitul Kumar, IPS, Special Director General of CRPF, Anurag Goel, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer of Assam, and Hiren Nath, IPS, Special DGP of Assam Police.

Deliberations during the meeting focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, assessing ground preparedness, and ensuring swift and effective response mechanisms to maintain law and order during the electoral process.------------
