Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 29 Jan (HS): Valmiki
Karad’s application to scrap the charges against him related Santosh Deshmukh
murder case in Beed, was rejected by the Bombay High Court’s Aurangabad Bench
consisting Justice Sandipkumar Morey and Justice Abasaheb Shinde.
The Special Court at Ambejogai had established
charges of Deshmukh’s murder against Karad, against which he had filed an application
with the High Court. Karad had applied to make amendments in his application.
The Government Pleader opposed the application saying that such an application
cannot be filed once the charges were framed. The HC refused to intervene in
the case and rejected Karad’s application.
Adv Amarjit Sinh Girase worked as the Government
Pleader with the assistance of Adv Sachin Salgare and Adv Pawan Lakhotiya. Adv
Nilesh Ghanekar held briefs form Karad.
