20 Jan (HS): A statue of Swami Vivekananda was unveiled in Tikonia, Sultanpur
district, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Sunil Ambekar, the All India Publicity
Chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was the chief guest on the
occasion.
The
chief guest, highlighting Swami Vivekananda's philosophy of life, said that as
India progresses economically and socially, spiritual values are essential.
Today is a significant day, because as our country advances economically and
progresses in every aspect of life, it equally needs spirituality. Every
individual needs to think about the country. This statue was unveiled today to
spread this message from Vivekananda's life.
Other
speakers at the event also emphasized that Swami Vivekananda's life was full of
struggles and that his ideals continue to inspire youth to build the nation.
The unveiling of the statue brought an atmosphere of excitement throughout the
campus. The event concluded with a pledge to embrace Swami Vivekananda's
message of Arise, awake, and stop not until the goal is reached.
Several dignitaries, including Municipal Council President Praveen Agarwal, BJP
leader Alok Kumar Arya, and Dr. AK Singh, were present on the occasion.
