02 Jan (HS): Following Uddhav and Raj Thackeray joining hands for the Mumbai Municipal
Corporation Elections, their sons Aditya and Amit addressed their candidates
and spoke about various schemes on Friday planned for Mumbai.
The
agenda includes ‘Swabhiman Nidhi’ for women, introducing junior colleges in
municipal schools, safe parking places, employment, tax system, free drinking
water, meals for Rs 10, funds to financially support youth, BEST tickets etc.
The announcements will be projected by the candidates during election
campaigning in their respective wards.
Realising
the importance and impact of the Ladki Bahin Yojana, announcement of Rs 1500
for women domestic help was announced. Similarly waiving property up to 500
sqft announced by the present government was emulated to announce waiver up to
700 sqft. Free and safe parking in Mumbai is an important issue, which too was
included in the agenda.
The two assured
free electricity up to 100 units and mini sports complex in every ward,
financial support youth to start their own business etc.
