Chennai, 02 January (H.S.) : The Tamil Nadu Congress Committee is facing a severe internal crisis as Karur Member of Parliament Jothimani Sennimalai has launched a scathing attack on the state leadership.
In a detailed social media post, the senior leader expressed her deep disappointment over the current direction of the party, alleging that it is drifting away from its core ideologies. She warned that the party is heading toward a path of destruction because the personal interests of a few individuals are being prioritized over the welfare of the organization and the public.
The Member of Parliament raised serious concerns about the internal factionalism that has plagued the state unit ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. She specifically alleged that the leadership has been sidelining elected representatives by preventing them from submitting essential booth agent lists to the Election Commission.
According to her, the focus of the state leadership has shifted toward simple electoral arithmetic and alliance calculations rather than addressing the genuine grievances of the people.
Expressing her distress over the situation, the lawmaker stated that the uncontrolled internal disputes within the Tamil Nadu Congress are causing significant depression among loyal cadres.
She emphasized that the party is failing to advance the ideological politics championed by national leaders like Rahul Gandhi.
Furthermore, she warned of growing threats from communal forces that aim to undermine the progressive legacy of the state.
She concluded by urging party workers to recognize their responsibility to halt this decline, noting that failing to support the national leadership's vision would be an unforgivable betrayal of the party's principles.
