London, 4 August (H.S.): India secured a thrilling 6-run victory against England in the final Test at The Oval, concluding the series dramatically. The match commenced with England requiring just 35 runs, quickly scoring two boundaries off Prasidh Krishna. However, Mohammed Siraj shifted momentum by dismissing Jamie Smith and trapping Jamie Overton LBW in quick succession. Prasidh nearly removed Josh Tongue LBW, but eventually bowled him out, leaving England with one wicket and needing 11 runs. Chris Woakes, battling an injured shoulder, surprised everyone by batting with one hand.

Despite Atkinson's attempts to shield him, he was eventually out, leading to India’s triumph. Siraj claimed five wickets overall, with three on the final morning. He highlighted the team's unwavering belief and resilience: “This team never backs down.” The match showcased intense fast bowling and nerve-wracking moments, making it a memorable finish to the series.
