New Delhi, August 4(HS): In a thrilling encounter at Arun Jaitley Stadium, the New Delhi Tigers faced the Outer Delhi Warriors in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025. After losing the toss and batting first, the Tigers had a rough start with opener Dhruv Kaushik scoring only 5 runs.

However, a remarkable partnership between Shivam Gupta (89 runs off 53 balls) and captain Himmat Singh (69 runs off 39 balls) propelled the team to a strong total. Despite losing a few quick wickets, Keshav Dalal's quick 19 off 9 balls helped the Tigers post 222/7 in 20 overs. Anshuman Hooda of the Warriors stood out with a brilliant bowling performance, taking 5 wickets for 51 runs.

In response, the Warriors initially performed well, with openers Priyansh Arya (26 runs) and Sanat Sangwan (48 runs) contributing significantly. However, a collapse in the middle overs put them under pressure. Despite efforts from Shreshth Yadav (37*) and Dhruv Singh (38*), they fell short, losing by 40 runs. The victory marked an important win for the Tigers in DPL 2025.
