Jalgaon, 03 May (HS): A major fire in a multi-storey

electronic goods shop in Jalgaon turned goods worth about Rs 50 lakh to ashes.

The goods in the shop include coolers, fridges, and other electronic goods. Eight

to ten fire tenders were deputed to douse the fire, which broke out late on

Friday night. The firefighters could control the fire after about five hours.

A short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the

fire. The fire spread fast as inflammable material like coolers were stored in

the shop. Besides firefighters, municipal authorities and local residents

helped in controlling the fire.
