03 May (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level review meeting of
the Revenue Department on Saturday. At the beginning of the meeting, the Chief
Minister gave clear instructions to give top priority to two important points -
timely settlement of revenue disputes and digitization of land records - that
these works should be completed at a fast pace at every level. Chief Minister
Yogi said that prompt resolution of land disputes is essential not only for
public confidence but also for investment and development in the state.
Digitization of land records is the foundation of a transparent,
corruption-free and accountable governance system. He said that the Revenue
Department is the basis of public confidence and its work culture should be
people-centric, technically efficient and sensitive.
The
Chief Minister directed that the digitization of the remaining land records
should be completed soon and the land records of urban areas should be prepared
and made public on the online portal on priority. Emphasizing the need for
redesigning the Revenue Council portal, he said that it should be more
user-friendly and result-oriented. He also directed to develop an integrated
dashboard from Lekhpal to Commissioner level, so that departmental monitoring
can be simplified and the common people get direct benefit. The Chief Minister
also said that the land use data of the authorities should be displayed on the
Khatauni and the land use change process under Section 80 should be made simple
and transparent.
The
Chief Minister said that the need for complete automation of the transfer cases
should be highlighted. This will provide ease and timely justice to the
citizens. He directed to ensure technical intervention and transparency in the
consolidation process. He also cautioned that serious social disputes may arise
due to the complexities of consolidation; hence it should be dealt with utmost
sensitivity.
He
directed that undisputed inheritance cases should be resolved within a maximum
of 15 working days. He also clarified that all pending cases related to real
time khatauni, Aadhaar seeding, farmer registry, measurement and khasra
investigation must be resolved within the stipulated time frame. For this,
additional human resources should be arranged as per requirement. According to
the information presented by the department, more than 36 lakh caste, residence
and income certificates were issued last year, out of which 85 percent of the
applications were disposed of online within seven working days. The Chief
Minister described this progress as commendable and directed to make service
delivery more effective and transparent.
While
praising the department for quick assistance in case of natural disaster, the
Chief Minister said that in the year 2023-24, assistance amount was provided to
more than 3.5 lakh affected families through DBT. He directed that all the
pending applications of Mukhyamantri Krishak Accident Welfare Scheme should be
completely disposed of in the next 10 working days.
