Lucknow,

03 May (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level review meeting of

the Revenue Department on Saturday. At the beginning of the meeting, the Chief

Minister gave clear instructions to give top priority to two important points -

timely settlement of revenue disputes and digitization of land records - that

these works should be completed at a fast pace at every level. Chief Minister

Yogi said that prompt resolution of land disputes is essential not only for

public confidence but also for investment and development in the state.

Digitization of land records is the foundation of a transparent,

corruption-free and accountable governance system. He said that the Revenue

Department is the basis of public confidence and its work culture should be

people-centric, technically efficient and sensitive.

The

Chief Minister directed that the digitization of the remaining land records

should be completed soon and the land records of urban areas should be prepared

and made public on the online portal on priority. Emphasizing the need for

redesigning the Revenue Council portal, he said that it should be more

user-friendly and result-oriented. He also directed to develop an integrated

dashboard from Lekhpal to Commissioner level, so that departmental monitoring

can be simplified and the common people get direct benefit. The Chief Minister

also said that the land use data of the authorities should be displayed on the

Khatauni and the land use change process under Section 80 should be made simple

and transparent.

The

Chief Minister said that the need for complete automation of the transfer cases

should be highlighted. This will provide ease and timely justice to the

citizens. He directed to ensure technical intervention and transparency in the

consolidation process. He also cautioned that serious social disputes may arise

due to the complexities of consolidation; hence it should be dealt with utmost

sensitivity.

He

directed that undisputed inheritance cases should be resolved within a maximum

of 15 working days. He also clarified that all pending cases related to real

time khatauni, Aadhaar seeding, farmer registry, measurement and khasra

investigation must be resolved within the stipulated time frame. For this,

additional human resources should be arranged as per requirement. According to

the information presented by the department, more than 36 lakh caste, residence

and income certificates were issued last year, out of which 85 percent of the

applications were disposed of online within seven working days. The Chief

Minister described this progress as commendable and directed to make service

delivery more effective and transparent.

While

praising the department for quick assistance in case of natural disaster, the

Chief Minister said that in the year 2023-24, assistance amount was provided to

more than 3.5 lakh affected families through DBT. He directed that all the

pending applications of Mukhyamantri Krishak Accident Welfare Scheme should be

completely disposed of in the next 10 working days.
