Morning classes in schools across Odisha from April 2

Bhubaneswar, 19 March (H.S.): Starting April 2, schools across Odisha will conduct morning classes due to the ongoing heatwave conditions in the state. This announcement was made by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari today.

In response to the heatwave, the state government had already revised the working hours of Anganwadi Centres, which will now operate from 7 am to 9 am. In cases of severe heat, these centres may suspend classes, and food supplements meant for children will be delivered to their homes.

Additionally, the state government has issued new guidelines for workers. According to these guidelines, workers will not be required to engage in any physical labor between 11 am and 3 pm. Employers found violating this rule will face strict action.
