Sambhal,
19 March (HS): Vandana Mishra, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Sambhal, has
announced the establishment of a committee to investigate the building history
of the property owned by Samajwadi Party MP Zia-Ur-Rahman Barq.
Allegations have surfaced that the house was
erected in a restricted area without the proper permissions.According to the SDM, building was carried
out without the consent of the city administration.
During a planned hearing, the MP failed to
present proof to refute assertions that the property belongs to him or was
recently constructed.In the absence of
defense proof, a team will review the construction timetable and submit their
conclusions within three days.The next
hearing is scheduled for March 22.
Meanwhile,
the Allahabad High Court approved the painting of the Sambhal Jama Masjid,
which began on March 12.Justice Rohit
Ranjan Agarwal has ensured that structural integrity is maintained throughout
the process. In other news, the Uttar Pradesh police's Special Investigation
Team filed a lengthy charge sheet linked to the November Sambhal violence
during mosque inspections.The violence
resulted in four deaths and several injuries, with other proceedings pending.
