NEW DELHI, 19 March (H.S.) : The Chief Minister conducted an inspection of the Sunhari drain located within the DTC bus depot area to address the issue of waterlogging ahead of the monsoon season and ordered the removal of derelict buses.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is proactively tackling the waterlogging challenges before the monsoon arrives. On Wednesday, CM Rekha Gupta, accompanied by Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena, Minister Parvesh Verma, and MP Bansuri Swaraj, visited the DTC bus depot near Dyal Singh College to assess the condition of the Sunhari drain.
During her visit, she issued clear instructions to the officials to ensure that the drains are thoroughly cleaned to mitigate waterlogging concerns. The Chief Minister inspected the covered drain and ordered the removal of derelict buses from the bus depot.
Accompanying the Chief Minister at the site were Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, along with Delhi's Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma and MP Bansuri Swaraj. During her visit, all personnel and officials from the relevant department were present. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized to the officers the urgent need to address the waterlogging issue with immediate attention.
