Guwahati, February 06 (HS): In view of the organization festival, the ruling BJP of the state has started the process of forming Mandal committees by February 7 and all the district committees by February 14. BJP's newly elected state president MP Dilip Saikia has already appointed 10 senior leaders of the state as observers for the formation of district committees. On Thursday, state BJP spokesperson Subhash Dutta said, The leaders who have been entrusted with the responsibility of strengthening most of the district committees of Assam by February 14 include Assam government minister Ranjit Kumar Das, Minister Prashant Phukan, Minister Pijush Hazarika, Minister Jayanta Malla Barua, Minister Jogen Mahan, Minister Kaushik Roy, former state president Bhavesh Kalita, state general secretary Pulak Gohain, Diplu Ranjan Sharma and former MP Pallav Lochan Das. These people will form a full district committee as observers as per the BJP constitution.

The BJP spokesperson said that earlier, the newly elected state president Saikia has already assigned the task of forming full committees of 433 mandals of Assam to the newly elected district presidents, district in-charges, district co-in-charges, MPs, MLAs by February 7.

The BJP has already completed the election process at various levels of the party and as the state BJP president, MP Dilip Saikia has formed full committees of 433 mandals of 39 districts of Assam. By forming strong committees with dynamic leadership in the Mandals, the process has been started to take the party organization forward from the grassroots level in a holistic and all-pervasive manner.
