(HS): The National Students Union of India (NSUI) has raised an issue of granting
examination related work by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University to a
black listed company. The University hired services of Coempt Edutech Limted, a
software company for three years. The agreement was signed by the University
without following the required procedure, NSUI has alleged.
A delegation of
NSUI met the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor Dr Manali Kshirsagar and demanded
enquiry into the tendering process, to which the VC agreed. NSUI has demanded
that the papers submitted by the company, including papers related to its
experience in the field should be verified. The students’ organisation has
alleged that the comoany has been blacklisted by many universities.
The University’s
Finance and Accounts Officer Harish Paliwal was also present in the meeting.
NSUI office
bearers Ajit Sinh, Ashish Mandpe, Pranay Sinh Thakur, Vidyasagar Tripathi,
Sunit Pathak, Ayush Gorle and others held discussion with the Vice-Chancellor.
