Positive Talks Held Between Health Minister and Odisha Medical Service Association


Bhubaneswar, 25 December (H.S.): In an effort to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for the general public and to keep public interest at the forefront, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling, acting on the directions of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, held a crucial discussion meeting with the Odisha Medical Service Association (OMSA) on Thursday. The outcome of the meeting was described as positive.

During the discussions, the demands raised by the Odisha Medical Service Association were deliberated upon in detail. The Health Minister stated that, as directed by the Chief Minister, a committee would be constituted to examine the issues comprehensively and take appropriate positive measures. He also urged the doctors’ association to refrain from agitation in the larger public interest.

Following the meeting, the doctors’ association expressed its commitment to prioritising public welfare, continuing dialogue with the government, and ensuring that healthcare services across the state remain uninterrupted.

The meeting was attended by Health Department Secretary Aswathi S, Special Secretary Dr Vijay Mahapatra, along with other senior officials of the department.
