(HS): The alliance between Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) and Raj Thackeray’s

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has been formally announced through a press

conference on Wednesday. Addressing a press conference Uddhav Thackeray and Raj

Thackeray launched the campaign for the Bombay Municipal Corporation elections.

and their fans were waiting for the moment. Uddhav said that the alliance in

other municipal corporations will also formally announced on Thursday.

Raj said that we

consider Maharashtra a bigger issue compared to smaller internal differences.

He refused to talk about sharing of seats during the press conference.

Uddhav said that

BJP projected a slogan ‘Batenge to Katenge’. But we appeal to remain united for

the Marathi and Marathi people in Maharashtra. Division will be an insult to

the memorial of martyrs who fought for the united Maharashtra. We are in the

field to eliminate those who are trying to separate Mumbai from rest of Maharashtra.

He also referred to secondary status to Marathi people in Maharashtra. Shiv

Sena was formed for the rights of Marathi people.
