Guwahati, 24 December (HS): The Fancy Bazar Police Outpost under Panbazar Police Station in Guwahati has arrested four persons on charges of stealing vegetables. Police said on Wednesday that a team from the Fancy Bazar OP apprehended the accused for allegedly stealing vegetables worth around ₹13,500 from the Fancy Bazar vegetable market.
The stolen vegetables were later recovered from Japrigog in the Krishnanagar area. Police also seized a Hyundai Venue vehicle that was allegedly used in committing the theft.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ajit Kalita of Zoo Road, Kushal Pun of Zoo Road, Tajuddin Ahmed of Nalbari and Mrinal Barman of Japrigog, Krishnanagar. A case has been registered in connection with the incident and further legal action is underway.-----------
