Mumbai, 24 Dec (HS): A fire broke out in a textile

mill in Khoni village of Bhiwandi in Thane district. A firefighter received

injuries while dousing the flames. The fire broke out around 5.45 am, following

which the Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the site. The injured was rushed to

a hospital in the area.

Fire Brigade Officer Mahesh Patil said a gas

cylinder blasted when the firefighters were engaged in defusing the fire in a Textile

Industrial Unit in Khoni village.

The cause of the fire was not known. Bhiwandi Police

are investigating further.
