Sivasagar, 24 December (HS): At least three commercial establishments were completely reduced to ashes in a devastating fire that broke out at Phukan Nagar’s Kalibari Road in Sivasagar town on Wednesday.

The massive blaze erupted near the Kali Temple on Kalibari Road, located in the heart of the town, causing panic among locals and shop owners in the busy area. Thick smoke and flames were seen rising from the spot as the fire spread rapidly.

On receiving information, fire brigade personnel rushed to the scene and launched firefighting operations. After sustained efforts, the fire was brought under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings.

Though no casualties were reported, the fire caused extensive damage to property. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, while authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.---------------
