UP man arrested for murder of elderly parents

Jaunpur,

17 Dec (HS): In the Zafarabad police station area of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh,

the only son murdered his parents. Their bodies were cut into five pieces with

a saw and thrown into the river, afterwards he disappeared. Later, based on the

sister's complaint, the police launched an investigation and arrested the

accused. His parents were angry with him for marrying a girl from another

community. This led the young man to brutally murder both of them. Revealing

the matter on Wednesday, Additional Superintendent of Police City Ayush

Srivastava said that the deceased's son Ambesh told during interrogation that

he had an argument with his parents on the night of December 8 due to family

issues and money.

In

a fit of rage, he killed his parents with a hammer and a sharp weapon. He then

cut the bodies into five pieces with an electronic saw. He stated that,

according to Ambesh, he first killed his mother. Then, when his father started shouting,

he killed him too. Ambesh cleaned the house overnight, and around 5 a.m., he

loaded the sacks containing the bodies into his vehicle and threw them into the

Gomti River at Belwa Ghat.

The

Additional Superintendent of Police stated that Ambesh had no dispute with his

sisters over money. He also did not consume any intoxicants. No CCTV footage

has been recovered yet. Police have recovered his father's body, while the

search for his mother's body is ongoing. A team of 15 divers has been deployed

for this operation. Police have also recovered a grinding stone and a saw.

The

revelation came from his sister's complaint: Accused Ambesh returned home after

disposing of the bodies. The next day, on December 9, he pretended to search

for his parents. He also informed his acquaintances and relatives about his

parents' disappearance. Meanwhile, Ambesh Kumar himself went missing on

December 12. When he did not return home, his sister Vandana, a resident of

Katauna village in the Sindhaura police station area of Varanasi district,

fearing something untoward, went to the Zafarabad police station and filed a

missing person report about her parents and only brother. The police became

active and began an investigation. Meanwhile, accused Ambesh went to Varanasi,

bathed in the Ganges, and remained there for a few days.

Later,

he began approaching the house. Police apprehended Ambesh. Under rigorous

police interrogation, Ambesh Kumar revealed the entire story of his parents'

murder. Police subsequently arrested him. The deceased Shyam Bahadur was a

resident of Khargsenpur village in Kerakat. His father -in- law, the late

Ramnarayan, had bequeathed his property there. Shyam Bahadur lived in

Jamshedpur, where he worked as a loco pilot in the railways. He had three

daughters: Vandana Kumari, Archana, and Sapna, and an only son, Ambesh, the

second son. All the daughters were married. For about six years, Ambesh Kumar

had been living in Kolkata, working in a private job. Five years ago, he

married a girl from a different community there, with whom he has a daughter

and a son. His parents were very upset by this marriage and flatly refused to

accept his wife. Their only son's love marriage had caused them great grief.

The

bodies were disposed of using the car purchased with his father's money: Ambesh

Kumar had purchased a Swift Desire car in 2022 using his father's money. Ambesh

Kumar and his family used the same car. The same car which his father had

purchased with great enthusiasm was used by his only son Ambesh Kumar to

dispose of the bodies of his mother and father. The police and forensic team,

led by Additional Superintendent of Police City Ayush Srivastava and Circle

Officer Goldy Gupta, are investigating the house and the car.
