Lucknow,

14 Dec (HS): The country will always remember the Iron Man, 'Bharat Ratna'

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as the architect of the present form of India,

remarked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a program organized in

Lucknow on the death anniversary of Iron Man, 'Bharat Ratna' Sardar Vallabhbhai

Patel. In a scathing attack on Congress legacy, he claimed that Pandit Nehru

did the work of making Jammu and Kashmir so controversial. He chastised India's

first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, for his handling of the Kashmir crisis,

drawing a comparison with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's unification of other

princely states.

Uttar

Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath refers to Patel as the Iron Man of

India for his role in national integration, particularly in uniting

princely states, and promotes his ideals of unity, discipline, and decisive

action against divisive forces, viewing his work (such as integrating Hyderabad/Junagadh)

as foundation for modern India, frequently linking Patel's vision to

contemporary national goals such as removing Article 370. Yogi emphasizes Patel's huge feat in bringing

over 560 princely states into the Indian Union, a process that required

enormous political determination. Yogi's

speeches include Patel's vision of a strong, unified India, particularly during

national integration campaigns such as Ek Bharat Shreshtha

Bharat. Yogi admires Patel's hard

position, especially in dealing with Hyderabad and Junagadh, underlining that

national unity requires no compromise.

He

encourages people to put Patel's beliefs into action, not only in words, by

battling casteism, untouchability, and nepotism. Yogi Adityanath, as Chief Minister,

frequently pays tribute at the Statue of Unity and organizes events like as the

'Unity March,' establishing himself as a torchbearer for Patel's legacy. His discourse links Patel's past

accomplishments to current issues, presenting the commitment to unity as a

continual national endeavor.

Yogi Adityanath's tremendous regard for Patel,

considering him as a pivotal person whose strong leadership and devotion to

national unification provide a template for modern India's strength and

togetherness.
